Ambassador Cain Speaks at Copenhagen Climate Solutions

On September 25 Ambassador Cain  addressed 450 business, government and academic leaders in a keynote speech on U.S. climate change policy opening the Copenhagen Climate Solutions conference.  In his speech the Ambassador  highlighted the U.S. government's  readiness to lead global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. He explained that the upcoming Major Economies Meeting to be hosted by President Bush in Washington on September 27-28 was designed to support and advance the UN climate change process, culiminating in the Conference of Parties meeting in Copenhagen in 2009.   The Ambassador hailed Denmark's leadership in  low-carbon alternative energy technology and  offered the U.S. as a partner in getting these technologies to market.
