Holidays
The U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen observes U.S. holidays as well as Danish holidays. If a holiday is on a Saturday or Sunday the Embassy observes the holiday on the nearest week day. This means that the Embassy is closed on the following days in 2009.

- July 3, Independence Day
- September 7 , Labor Day
- October 12 , Columbus Day
- November 11, Veterans Day
- November 26, Thanksgiving Day
- December 24, Christmas Eve
- December 25, Christmas Day
- December 31, New Year's Eve (½ day)
