The ReDiscovery Tour
From Haslev to Roskilde
On August 28 Ambassador Cain continued his ReDiscovery tour around Denmark. Continuing at the exact same spot as August 22 ended, today's route started in the parking lot in front of McDonalds in Næstved. From there Ambassador Cain rode towards Haslev.
Before reaching Haslev he was introduced to the history of the region by seeing the two old estates Gisselfeld and Bregentved. He also saw what is going on in Haslev today. Visits at Sydøstsjællands Sports School, Haslev Arenas, and a tour through the towns education district were on the schedule. At Sydøstsjællands Sports School he was challenged by principal Lissi Braae and the students to climb a climbing wall - which he did in record breaking time. At Haslev Arenas he got a chance to see some of the best trampoline athletes in Denmark.
Аfter leaving Haslev Ambassador Cain visited one of the oldest grocery stores in Denmark situated in Førslev and dating back to the late 1800s.
Between Haslev and Roskilde Ambassador Cain met a newly started Danish farmer to learn about the challenges young Danish farmers meet in their everyday lives.
He arrived in Roskilde in the afternoon where he went to a reception at Hotel Prindsen and then saw Roskilde Domkirke.
In the boxes on the left you can see pictures from the events of the day and read articles from local news papers.
