Shooting Hoops with GAM3 in Nørrebro

Spirits were high and hip-hop music was cranking as Ambassador Cain took to the pavement in Mjølnerparken in Nørrebro to join in a GAM3 street basketball practice on May 31. The sunny weather meant a large group of youngsters, ages seven to fourteen, had met up to do drills and play some three-on-three basketball under the supervision of two coaches and several GAM3 volunteers.
GAM3 holds practices once a week during the summer in various ethnically diverse housing developments throughout Denmark. A series of one day training camps with NBA and WMBA players are held throughout July, the season ending in early August with a big event in the main city square, featuring a 3-on-3 tournament, a slam-dunk contest, and popular DJs spinning.
