Ambassador Cain Joins Vestas CEO Ditlev Engel and Colorado Governor Bill Ritter at Plant Opening

Ambassador Cain joined Vestas CEO Ditlev Engel, Colorado Governor Bill Ritter and a host of other dignitaries for a March 5 ribbon-cutting at Vestas' Windsor Colorado wind-turbine blade plant.  Vestas -- the world's leading supplier of wind power -- is based in Randers, Denmark.  The company's Windsor, Colorado facility will employ at least 700 workers when it reaches full capacity.

In his remarks at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Cain said: "This application of innovative Danish technology to meet America's demand for clean energy is the finest example I can imagine of the partnership needed to address the energy security and environmental challenges of our age.  In its quest to address those challenges, America has no greater partner than the Kingdom of Denmark, and one of her favorite sons, Vestas Corporation."
