Ambassador Fulton Visits Inbicon

On Saturday, October 17th, Ambassador Fulton traveled to Skærbæk in Jutland to tour the pilot facility of Inbicon, a Dong Energy subsidiary that uses straw to produce clean-burning bioethanol.   As the ambassador remarked, she “knows a thing or two about grain waste” from her childhood in South Dakota and is particularly interested in the technologies being developed in Denmark to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.  “Denmark has been moving towards energy self-sufficiency for thirty years; we (the U.S.)  need to catch up,” said the ambassador.  The ambassador’s visit is one of a planned series of visits to ‘green energy’ stakeholders in Denmark, as part of her interest in Denmark’s impressive strides in renewable energy practices.
