Invest in America
The United States welcomes foreign investment. The United States is the world’s largest recipient of foreign direct investment (FDI). FDI in the United States contributes to productivity growth, and generates high-paying jobs for American workers. It is a key contributor of the jobs and capital that fuel our economy. The total stock of FDI in the United States in 2006 was equivalent to 13.5 percent of U.S. GDP.
