Renewing Visas
If an individual has an expired visa or would like to have a new visa in a new passport, he/she needs to apply for a new visa by following the procedures in How to Apply.
If your visa is in a passport that has expired, you will need to get a new passport before you can travel to the United States. You may travel with your old passport (with valid visa) and your new passport assuming that the visa is not damaged. If your personal data has been changed for example you have changed your surname to reflect your married status or your nationality has changed, then you should apply for a new visa.
